Maternity leave coverage
Some families can’t afford to take time off after the birth of a child. I would like to see a plan for maternity leave coverage. This should be separate from gridwise protection plan and have a separate premium but the users who purchase this plan even though it is active should expect a 3 or 6 month waiting period before they can use the coverage allowing gridwise a little time to make money from this plan. Payout Amounts should be based on a user’s Average earnings and pay weekly for 6 weeks for non C section deliveries and 8 weeks for those who delivered via C section. This plan should not cover medical expenses or supplies health insurance can do that part. This should only replace a percentage of Average income for the duration of maternity leave up to 8 weeks. If the user returns to work early (earnings detected by tracker) coverage terminates and user will not receive a payout for the following week or subsequent weeks.
